Week 2 Reflection

What: This week I felt proud for my self because I have completed the most work I have ever done before. We went to the gym and our instructor had a weird accent. His name is Leo. We went to this Tech Expo thing. There was a Japanese robot. We went into a different room and we watched my music video. Our habit of mind is thinking and communicating with clarity and prostration.  We did an activity and we had to tell our buddy to put object in diffident places.

So what: This week I learnt how to identify main and minor characters and describe them.

Now what: Next week I want to be the king of the den and I want to do a BP technology challenge.

Adjectives Wordle

Today our group made a wordle about adjectives. We had to use meaningful adjectives.

Week 4 Reflection

What: This week we did art with Graham Braddock. He is retiring from being an artist. Someone else is taking his place. I don't think the new person will be better than Mr Braddock. We drew a possum. I think Mrs McAvoy's was the best out of the teachers. Frank Bunce came to our school. We made the hairs on the back of the neck stand up with our haka.

So What: For the habits of mind I learnt about thinking about thinking. I kept on putting my hand up before answering the question, I was not thinking about my thinking.

Now What: Next week I want to do a bp technology challenge and finish all of my work on time.

Frank Bunce.

Frank Bunce is a former All Black he played centre. He came to talk to us about the Westpac Trust Rescue  Helicopter. We did the haka to welcome him in. He came with Mark a helicopter pilot. We took a class photo with Frank Bunce .  The rippa kids got to play passes with him. Then we shook hands.

Week 3 Reflection

What: On Monday we saw a new tree in the class. We can work in it and we can read in it. On Tuesday we did some alliterations for writing. On Thursday we made Picasso faces in our art books, when we finished it in our books we had to do it on an A4 piece of paper. Then we had to 
colour them in.
   
So What: This week I learnt to use the strategy to solve an addition equation. 


Now What: Next week I want to be the King of the Den.

My Holiday

Wiremu’s Holiday

P: We went fishing on a boat. I caught two gurnard, one marlin and one big snapper. My cousin caught two kahawhai, two king fish and one cat fish. The food at the funeral was good. It was a boil up then

M: We went to a funeral in Dannevirke. It was boring we had to stay for three hours. We went home, we took the long way. I fell asleep.

I: I found out that the king fish the biggest fish in Wanganui.

Explore Parliament NZ

Today Room 15 went on a web site called Explore Parliament. Some people have already been on it but I havent been on it yet. I made a new law and I learnt that you have to get the MP's support

Week 9 Reflection

What: This week we had Lyn O'Connor in Room 15. She told us about jail and what thay eat and some times they get fish in chips. You think that would be nice to eat but trust me its not because the coleslaw gets mixed with the fish and its cold when you get it. My grand dad is a prison officer.  We went to Fordell School for a visit and then we went to a sheep farm and a dairy farm. We got to have a swim in Andrew's pool he is the owner of the dairy farm. The dogs are hunter ways and heading dogsWe had a swimmathon.

So what: This week I learnt what a farmer does for a living.

Now what: Next week I want to be patient and be the King of the Den.

Week 7 Reflection

What: This week we did Senior School Swimming Sports and we went to Putiki Marae. We got to have fried bread. My favourite activity to play was Ki o Rahi, it is like rippa rugby. I got 7 tries. On Tuesday we met another Constable so he can tell us more about what the role of police do.

So What: We learnt how to play Ki o Rahi and we learnt how to play a game with sticks.

Now What: Next week I want to be King of the Den.

My Wordle

When Mrs Larsen first showed the class the wordle site some people didn't know what to do so Mrs Larsen had to teach us what to do. This is mine.

Week 3 Reflection

What: This week at school we made The Lion's Learning Den with our bodies. For fitness we went for a run around the school, we had to run three laps, some people were playing on the fence. Yet again Makail did someone else's recycling bin, not his own. We did our be funky and a listening test.


So What: I have learnt to new Moari words, greeting and farewells.


Now What: Next week I want to be the King of the Den. I need to make sure my work is completed on time.

My Befunky

When Mrs Larsen first showed the class the Be Funky website people were going oh yeah that's right. Some people didn't even know what it is. When I did mine I was going to do the LA Lakers colourrs but green looked better with the pink.

Week 1 Reflection

What;This week on our first day of school we had a welcome back assembly. We made Wordles  Mrs Larsen  got a frisbee from the stock cars and we made name monsters. We got to have a snow ball fight with paper,no one could read mine because my writing was so messy.


So what; This week we learnt how to save things properly we learnt how to do it in save it in save as and we had to go to computer and save it there.  


Now what;Next week I want to get my work done constantly.  

Week 1 Reflection

What: This week we went to badminton. Our teacher was Mr Feast. We got taught a new game. The winners of the Rugby World Cup Competition were announced. We also rearranged our class. For inquiry we have started to plan a tour around Wanganui.

So What: We have learnt a new way to say 'What day is it today?' in Maori. I learnt how to hold a badminton racket correctly. 

Now What: My goal is to be on the wall of fame and finished all of my work. I want to do more fun time and P.E.

week 7 Reflection

What; This week we had a mystery reader. Our reader was Miss McIntyre. Today it is loud shirt day. We have practiced with clay. David made an elephant. I made a face. On Monday we did dance. We are doing Michael Jackson's thriller.

So What; I have learnt dance moves of thriller.

Now What; Next week i want to finish my homework on time.

Week 6 Reflection

What: This week I had to sit outside Room 5 because I haven't been finishing my work. I missed out on going to Memorial Hall to see the Rugby Roadshow and the Art Gallery. Yesterday we had cross country. I nearly came last. It was tiring because I had to run outside of the Gonville Domain. It was a long way.

So What: This week I have learnt how to make a fantasy rugby team. I learnt I have to do my work otherwise I don't get to go on class trips. I learnt the countries that have won the Rugby World Cup so far.

Now What: My goal is to finish all of my work. I want to be able to do P.E and fun things.

Week 5 Reflection

what; This week we made  rugby people for the rugby world cup and we have the All Black flag out side our class.The rest of the class went to the whanganui City Council and we drew out teams to do some learning on.

So What; This week we learnt a new song for kapa haka.

Now what; Next week I want to finish my work so I can do the special things in class.

Week 4 Refletion

What; This week we had a reliever called Mr Allot. He taught us a new game called rabbits and shooters and we had a mystery reader. He is a fire fighter. He showed us his gear. They are in levels. Zane got to wear his gear. Right now he is in room12 showing them.


So what; I learnt how to make a quiz on "My studiyo".


Now what; Next week I want to get my work done and be king of the den.

Week 2 Reflection

What: This week we had some competitions to celebrate getting 10,000 blog hits. The first one was that we needed a hat and an art shirt and a dice. If we rolled a six we had to put on the clothes and cut a bar of chocolate with a knife and a fork. You could eat until the next person rolled a six. We also had cross country practice.

So What: This week we have learnt how to do Lexia, a reading programme on the computer.

Now What: Next week I want to be King of the Den.

Week 10 Reflection

what: This week we had a boys night out. I did not go because I was sick.At home I tried the new kit kat bars but it was not that great, only the gooey caramel. we made some cool vokies.

so what: I learnt how to make a voki.       

now what: I want to get all of my work done so I can be king of the den.

week 9 reflection

what: This week we have done letters to our parents about a night out at school, we are having pizza for dinner and then we are going to sit down with the principal, Ms O'connor, Mrs Larsen, Ms Mcavoy and Mr Burgess and have a chat about the class. We have done Jump jam this week and today we read the amazing machine as part of a reading activity with Mrs Larsen. We then done an activity where we had to draw our own machine.

so what: This week I have learnt what horrendous means as part of my word of the week.

now what: I want to be the king of the den by finishing my work on time.

week 7 reflection

what: This week we had a show the chiefs name was Terihi it was so funny. In the middle of the play a little girl started to cry because the actors were quite loud at times. We went on a trip, we went to the beach and we had to observationally draw the water tower.

so what: I learnt whow to make a box and wisker graph and draw and colour the tower using pastles.

now what: next week my goal is to be king.

Week 6 Reflection

What: This week Mrs Larsen gave us a boomerang each and a pencil from Australia. We got to throw around our boomerangs for fun time. My wouldnt come back. I finished my ukulele art. We couldn't go on our trip around Wanganui today because it was raining. I havent gone swimming because I forgot my togs so I finished other work instead.

So What: I learnt how to link the letters hi. I learnt how to blend a ukulele.

Now What: My goal is to keep finishing my work on time. I want to be King of the Den

Week 4 Reflection

What: This week we learnt how to use a different way to say how are you in Maori. This is it E pehea ana koe? Lots of people brought their homework posters into class. We have been to the Splash for Swimsafe. We did an IKAN test.

So What: We learnt who to link.

Now What: Next week I want to have free time so i need to make sure I finish my work.

Week 3 Reflection

What: This week we did some more art. We continued drawing ukulele's. We did a BP Technology Challenge. We stil had the same issues as last time.

So What: This week I learnt hwo to draw a ukulele.

Now What: This week I hope I remember to bring my togs.

Week 11 Reflection

What: This week we only did one bp tecnology challenge. We made Easter baskets. My one has a bunny. We had a show it was could Rayz Roadshow.

So What: This week I learnt who to cross the road properly.

Now What: After the holidays I wish I achieve my work on time.

What: This week we still did not do a BP Technology Challenge. This week was a fun week for me because we did these squiggle pictures. My one is red, yellow and orange Mrs Larsen put black around the outside.

So What: We learnt to use pastle properly.

Now What: After the holidays I hope to get my work done on time so I get to do more fun time.

Week 9 Reflection

What: This week we did not do Bp Technology Challenge. We had a Duffy Asembly and one of the X Silver Ferns came. She now coaches Samoa.
So What: today I learnt how to go on be funky and put a photo on it.

Week 6 Reflection

What: This week we have played games and went swimming. We get to have free time in the pool. We have got new art books and the first thing we drew is our eyes.

What: Today we got taught how to make an avatar. First we had to pick our skin colour then we had to go to more stuff and we had to pick our clothes and accessories like glasses.

Today Mrs Larsen taught me how to make an email and create a blog. It was fun and this is my very first blog post.
